• A pot or container to grow in
• A coconut tablet or a bag of soil
• A packet of seeds
Easy sowing in just a few steps
All the basic products you need are already included in the SeeddeeS® package convenient! But how do you use them correctly? Follow the steps below:
- Step 1:
Place all coconut tablets on a small dish first. If your package contains a bag of soil, you can put this directly into the pot or container.
- Step 2:
Add water by pouring it over the coconut tablet so it can fully absorb the moisture. Let this sit for 10 to 15 minutes.
Check which version your SeeddeeS® product contains: soil or coconut tablets.
– With coconut tablets: water first, then distribute the seeds.
– With soil: distribute the seeds first, then water.
- Step 3:
Give the seeds some extra love — and of course water! Not too much and not too little. Make sure they do not dry out, but also do not become waterlogged. Water directly onto the soil, not onto the leaves once the plants start growing.
- Step 4:
Be patient while the seeds begin to germinate; germination time differs per type of seed.
- Step 5:
Are the first little sprouts visible? That’s worth celebrating!
- Step 6:
As the plants grow bigger, you can repot them into a larger pot or plant them out into the ground. Always check whether your plants are suitable for indoors or outdoors.
- Step 7:
Enjoy the final result! Didn’t succeed? No worries — that’s part of the process too. Just try again, you’re definitely not alone!
Why sow and grow your own plants?
Growing your own plants has many benefits, both practical and personal:
• It’s cheaper — for the price of one plant, sowing usually gives you many more plants.
• Homegrown produce is fresher, healthier and better for the environment. You use little to no pesticides, which is good for bees and butterflies and for yourself.
• Gardening and vegetable growing are relaxing activities and fun for the whole family! Involve your children in sowing and let them discover in a playful way how something edible or beautiful can grow.
Good luck and most of all, enjoy sowing!
With love,
SeeddeeS®
