New to the SeeddeeS® range: bird feeders! A small house but big happiness in your garden. It brings life, color, and cheerfulness to your garden. It also helps birds get through the winter. Whether you live in the city or the countryside, a birdhouse fits (almost) anywhere.

Why bird feeders are important
Birds get their food from insects, seeds, and berries. Unfortunately, birds are finding it increasingly difficult to find suitable food. Seed-bearing plants and insects are being replaced by concrete and asphalt every year. SeeddeeS® therefore believes it is very important to do something about this and raise awareness. In addition to offering birdhouses, Seeddees® also offers many cultivation products with beautiful native flowers that are ultimately suitable for insects and birds. We complete the circle!

What to feed and what not to feed
For garden birds, various seed mixes, peanuts, and fat products are great for getting through the winter. See below for what you should and should not feed your garden birds.
What to feed:
- Scatter feed
- Fat products, such as fat balls (also fun to make yourself) or fat blocks with seeds/mealworms. Preferably in coconut fat and suet.
- Fruit
What not to feed:
- Salt
- Bread
- Milk, margarine, and butter
Tip: Always clean your birdhouses and other bird feeders thoroughly to prevent disease. Of course, you should also clean your house thoroughly! ;)
Which birds are attracted to a bird feeder?
In Europe, these are the top 5 birds that you will almost always spot at your bird feeder:
- Blackbird
- Great tit
- Blue tit
- Robin
- House sparrow
Which SeeddeeS® products are also relevant for birds?
As you can read above, native plants and flowers are interesting for birds. The seeds that eventually sprout from them are a delicious, healthy snack for them. In addition, they naturally love berries, but also strawberries. If you'd rather keep these for yourself, it's a good idea to put a net over them ;).
